we're all about education.
"The future of Planet Ocean lies in the hands of those who are students today. The Rakefish Project is a wonderful example of students educating themselves and others as to what is at stake. In the process they have created a compelling piece of environmental art."

We are proud to be the official Environmental Education Committee of the Faulkner's Light Brigade, a local non-profit in our hometown of Guilford, Connecticut.
who started all this?Although it began in 2011 as a locally grant-funded, public school art project, The Rakefish Project has grown to include more sculptures and has achieved a truly global reach. In addition to the Rakefish, students have created two sea turtle sculptures that offer the same learning experience, free for host schools. Sea of No Plastic serves as the central hub for these and all future sculptures our students create, to bring awareness and inspire action regarding the harmful impacts that single-use plastics have on the ocean and the life it supports.
